When a design is to endure over a long period of time, e.g. a corporate design, research, tests and complex design work are involved. Here it is not only a logotype that has to be designed, but a whole set of different items as stationery, reports, catalogs, technical information, price-tags, signs, vehicles, even office and shop interiors, or exhibition stands. All of these should demonstrate clearly their connecting line of design and prove they all are part of one great family. Therefore structured concepts and systems have to be developed to serve as production and design guidelines and to direct all visual means of communication. which then will be recognized as essential parts of their identity. This works perfectly well for small businesses as for large corporations.
Such concepts define colors and formats, type styles and sizes, logos, etc. The structures and parameters enable us to solve any future design-tasks in a time and money saving way.
