Contradiction and conflict determine the creative process of my work. I am fascinated by the presentation of opposites, exploring the effects of light and shadow or integrating contrasting shapes, forms and structures.

Leaving the two-dimensionality of the canvas by combining paint with a variety of materials such as paper, sand, or nails stimulates receptive and critical contemplation — the geometry of the plane encounters the challenge of a third dimension.
